"University applications up by 16.5%"
UCAS, The Universities and College Admissions Service have today confirmed that university applications have increased by 16.5%.
Many reports earlier this year have speculated about rises being anywhere up to 23%, but the latest news from UCAS confirms the figure – which means that over 100,000 applicants could still be left without a place this Autumn.
These record numbers of applications, added to the tightening of university budgets mean that universities are under increased pressure this year – despite the promises of extra places from the government.
Don’t be left without a place this Autumn
RDI have places for their Autumn intake remaining, with April and July intakes for those keen to start their studies before others.
Distance learning is the modern alternative to campus based university study, meaning that students can gain exactly the same qualification whilst working, gaining valuable experience and still earning a full-time wage.
