Degrees become even more important for job security
RDI's
critical role in providing affordable and flexible degree study
opportunities was highlighted again in the media, when one newspaper
article described the economic downturn and the negative impact on
those people without degrees in the UK job market.
Graduates after non-graduate jobs
Entitled "Generation Crunch: Young face crisis in hunt for work", one of the key issues highlighted in The Guardian's article is:
"The
slump in graduate jobs threatens unemployment for people with lower or
no qualifications as graduates turn their sights on non-graduate
vacancies" (click here for the full article).
More and more people with little or no formal qualifications realise
they can now study for their qualifications through RDI without missing
out on their work or careers. Many students are now moving from their first certificate, through to diploma, a full degree and from there to an MBA!
A way to gain an advantage
Dr Philip Hallam, RDI CEO, explains the situation:
"People
come to RDI for many different reasons: for a new start, to gain
promotion and, now more than ever, to secure their current job. In the
past, the best way to beat a downturn has been to invest in yourself
and it's worth remembering that at RDI, all the courses we offer can
enhance your career while being flexible and affordable."
