Description: Ethical and legal considerations are at the heart of business strategies in successful, law-abiding, ethical and socially responsible organisations. In a global context this is especially pertinent given some recent, high-profile cases of unethical behaviour concerning commission payments/bribes. This unit sets out the ethical issues affecting sales and marketing, and evaluates concepts relating to ethical reasoning and analysis in a business context. Students will be expected to assess their own values, attitudes and beliefs and that of their organisation, and consider any business, marketing and management dilemmas. In the final part of this unit, students will consider the implications of consumer, contract, employment, and discrimination law on sales and marketing.
