"I left school at 16 years of age and went into an Apprenticeship in the Motor Vehicle Trade; I worked in this area for almost 24 years, and on being made redundant took up a position as a part time Lecturer at a local college.

It had always been my ambition to get a Degree, something that was not possible when I left school. Over the last 10 years I have studied a number of qualifications, NVQs in Management etc, but always felt that not having a Degree held me back.

I looked at a number of options to achieve my goal of getting a Degree, but nothing seemed to fit all of my requirements. I then discovered the RDI website, and contacted the team to talk about what courses were available.

I found the team at RDI to be extremely helpful, and they provided lots of information on funding and helped me to enrol on the BA (Hons) Business (University of Wales) which I found very easy, and probably most important “no stress”.

I started my programme in February 2010, and I am enjoying every minute of it. The learning resources are of a very high standard and very user friendly, and the tutors are extremely supportive and answer your questions very quickly.

I also enjoy the live chats that allow you to interact with both your tutor and other learners on your programme from all over the world. I would certainly recommend RDI to friends and colleagues within my organisation. I am now looking forward to doing my first assessment and to the day when I can put the letters BA (Hons) after my name, and participate in the graduation with my fellow learners."
