Associate degree

An associate degree from the USA or Caribbean may give you the opportunity to study various undergraduate online courses from a UK university. This eligibility is dependent on the associate degree subject you have completed.

Associate Degrees from the USA and Caribbean are usually equivalent to the first year of a three-year UK university undergraduate degree. Holders of this qualification often find that they are able to transfer some of their study onto a UK university programme, dependent on the number of subject-specific modules that they have studied.

One common route those with associate degrees take, is to study a HND for two years and then study a one year degree top up course. These combined equal a full UK university bachelors degree that can be studied completely online.

Study by Distance Learning

The online qualifications offered by RDI are the same as that studied on campus in the UK. Holders of an Associate Degree may be accepted for a course, depending on the subject of their qualification. Additionally, potential employers often recognise and value the commitment made by an individual studying by online distance learning. Studying by distance learning or online also allows the individual to continue to apply their new found knowledge in the work place and to further develop their career during their studies.

When you study through RDI we willl provide you with professionally developed distance learning or online study materials. The study materials have been developed to provide sequential learning with continual access to self assessment and task based progress measurement. On enrolment on an online course each individual is allocated a tutor for academic support who can be contacted by email. Each individual will also have access to a student support co-ordinator who will be there for administrative advice to make the learning experience successful and enjoyable.
